just installed reaper on the work pc so i can have a play around on my lunch break, pretty cool riff there.
I will ask the winners if we can post up their signal info. I will post the info of the winners who'll let me.

Am I allowed to have any fader automations on the guitars or does it count as editing the performance?
If that's not allowed, it should be IMO! Though it's not like anyone would be able to tell for certain once you bounced it down

Yes, you may pan, process or automate as you wish.

just played a version i was knocked up on my lunchbreak to one of my co metal heads, he then told me some other guy in my office is on these forums doing the same thing lol. small world!
Will be interesting to hear the results! Although with so many participants it could be hard to do a fair voting system without boring the listeners too much by hearing the same clip over and over
Dunno if you have planned it out already, but maybe split the result up into several tracks (randomly) with like 10 reamps in each track. Then everyone selected their top three favorites from each of these tracks.
Then take all winners and do another round with 5 reamps per track, select 2 winners per track all these go to a final round where you select 1 winner.
If you get 50 participants in total (doubt everyone that signed up will submit anything) you'll get 5 tracks(10 reamps each) in the first round, 3 tracks in the second round(5 reamps each) and a final round with 1 track with 6 reamps. This should be reasonable to listen to and pretty fair.
Or maybe you already got everything figured out already, what do I know

I was interested to hear these were Livewires also.... I have a Livewire Metal in the bridge of one of my guitars, and it sounds nothing like this one, much hotter. I thought the Mustaine ones were the same just renamed, I guess not...

Folks, please only send me a download link with adds, spam or a waiting period if you have no other choice. It's kind of annoying. dropbox, box.net or just adding the files as attachments would be better.

Just saw the number of participants and realized that it would be really hard to listen to all these tracks and decide for one.Also because many of the people in the contest are obviously pretty good judging from there previous stuff posted here, so many tones will most likely be really good. Easier to pick a favorite(s) from just a couple of tones.
