The only thing I could figure out on the internet, was that Putney mixed and mastered it.. Also one of the guitarists plays a Dual Rectifier through an Orange Cab live. Anybody got some more information?

Putney produced/mixed/mastered, his assistant Randy tracked. This is a super common split for them, btw. With Randy tracking it might as well be a 100% Putney production.

Like Christian said, it's going to be a blend of amps; what Will usually keeps constant is two Mesa 4x12s each with a 57 into a Vintech pre and an MD421 into a Chandler. All 4 tracks get blended through a summing mixer and recorded to a single track.

Thanks for your answers! Well seems like I won't manage to reproduce a similar tone in my bedroom :p But I'll try to experiment with multiple ampsims and IRs

Just a thought for the OP, you may be able to get some decently comparable results from using parallel eq on your guitars if you use some radical boosts very liberally.

Though if you don't have a good hardware eq or good hardware emu it might be more difficult
