Can you make this an mp3. To download.:heh: Thanx

It will be made available as an mp3 once its complete, that way there will be no confusion about whos doing what e.t.c but download it as a midi file and make additions to the drum track by all means. The quicker people start uploading their addition to the track, the faster all of you guitarists can lay something down.

Drum midi track updated. Also, as im nice, an mp3 version aswell, for you guitarists to get some ideas down. Now, this track is by no means set it stone, no doubt structure will change, we just need enough material for this drum track from everyone so we can decide on a structure everyones happy with. Hopefully the guitarists in here can have some input once they get a feel for whats been layed down so far.

Edit: The space i left before the drums start is for the 4 beat precount (190 ). So you'll be set for coming in on time.

that sounds almost exactly like what I was jamming on.. good stuff bro.

what if we asked Andy to do a really rough basic mix, if we end up coming up with a solid song? Anyone think he would do it?

Yeah i know the guitar sound is doo doo, but if you dig the riffs i can re-amp through my triple recto and it will sound lots better lol:rock:

Yeah, record it in drop C and then we can sort through the riffs. I want everyone to have input in the composition so we get a chance to hear a riff from everyone. No point reamping yet, but once the rhythms composition is done for the (not even half complete ) drum track, then would be a good time to hear the reamped tone to see if its amongst the best.

i'll be keen to mix and master this while i still working at this posh studio but i'm guessing everyone wants to have a go plus i'm doubt everyone is down with my work anyway and i don't have reamp options

ah well

Thats great, what does your rig consist of ( apart from the bass youre holding) ?
Yep...Fender Jazz with Bartolinis & a Badass. Usually do 2 tracks of DI with a Sansamp Bass Driver. One clean and the other reamp'ed dirty through the same unit.

Also have a Bass POD gathering dust if I'm stuck tone-wise which has some decent SVT-ish custom patches in it.

At the office at the moment but will listen to that track later tonight and throw down something if I don't turn into a pumpkin first. If not....have plenty of time on the weekend to sort something out. By then, our riffmeisters might have their act together.

yay!

just noticed this thread... cool stuff.

I am willing to mix it for sure... no problem. (and anything orchestral/choirs or synth like, im willing to add if needed to).

However, how will this work though, there are so many people willing to put down tracks, but the sound of all those different tracks will vary quite a bit then, no?
I see about 5 different singers, and 5 different guitarists willing to lay down a track...

Maybe, since we're going all out here anyway... maybe do more then one track?

5 singers, no problem, any amount of dirty vocals should be easy enough to fit in one song. With regards to guitars, i want everyone to contribute a part to the song and then once all guitar parts have been contributed, the two people with the best tones will record the whole track and lay down two tracks each to make a quad track. The only problem will be ( once the drums are done ) whos going to compose guitars for what part of the song.
