I must say it is better in some ways than the original from 10 years ago ... there are no hair bands. ANd they certainly not afraid to play Death Metal ...

I've seen the new one a few times, it pretty much sucked. I discovered a whole shitload of bands from the original though, Morbid Angel, Carcass, Mutha's Day Out, Stompbox, etc.

The old Friday Night Rock Show on VH1 was the best ever. Discovered Accept, Lynryd Skynryd and Hammerfall from it!

I watch it almost every friday and I love it! I sit through hours of Poison, Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, nu-metal and all fucking kinds of crap to see four minutes of Iron Maiden. And Sepultura - Inner Self once.
