I am going to blow up every fucking bank in North America.

maybe you should ask a mod to change it? something like "i am going to happily repay my debts to every friendly bank in north america who was courteous enough to extend me credit"

that should get you off the watch-lists

Hey did you do this yet? Because I have a pretty massive credit card bill due next week and I don't want to pay it off. I also don't want to go back into debt, because that is god damn lame, even if numbers always lie, at least when it comes to the fiduciary "sense" of it all. So I'm at a bit of a crossroads, one that I'd rather not choose. You see my problem, you have your solution... please keep me informed.

People have $$$ but want something that costs $$$$$ so they spend $$$$$$$$$$$ and then everybody wonders why the world economy is one giant LOL.

Yeah I've personally never used one. but really, a loan is a credit card and everyone gets one of those at one point for a house. I am firmly against credit because it's simply a way to keep the white man down

All for it when it's for big, necessary stuff (house, studies) because it'd for the Greater Good and Better Actual Life Quality, but borrowing with interest for stupid shit you don't really need isn't a good idea.

If only I was the economic advisor of the world...

Not sure how the system works in Schweden but here they say that you should 'build up' credit as early as possible, making many small purchases with minimum payments etc..so when it comes time for a house, you got a good score which then equals a more favorable interest %

that's a stupid and evil system and we don't have it

if you have a steady, normal income you can get a loan for a house with any bank and that's it

interest rate is about the same for everyone and better if you're good at talking (or already have a bunch of money, i guess)

rate on my house is something like 2,5% and i'm on the lower end of the income scale and i've never bought anything other than the house for money i don't have*

* well i do have a small student loan too, now that i think about it

This is what happened when I went to get my brand new VW:

I apply for the loan (through the car dealership). The bank looks at my credit.

Bank: Hmmm... your credit is very good, but there is not enough of it. Can you prove that you have a steady income?

(i scan three recent paycheck receipts and send it over)

Bank: Hmmm... your proof of income is very good, but there is not enough of it. Can you prove that you have had this job longer than 3 weeks?

(i happen to have all of my paystubs in a filing cabinet, send over the first three i ever received)

Bank: Hmmm... your proof of steady income is very good, but can you prove that you left your previous job and were not actually fired?

(i was at my current job for less than a year at this point. i switched jobs because i was moving. so i call my old fucking boss and have him write a letter of recommendation)

Bank: Hmmm... okay, you can have the loan.

What a total fucking joke.

actually all this rigmarole is probably preferable to just handing out loans left and right to people who can't pay them off

Not to mention they are in cohoots with the car dealerships and the dealership probably taked on an extra % or 2 to the APR to make even more money on the back end, especially if you talked them down a good amount off the "sticker price."

Not sure if you went about it this way, but it's a complete scam.
