I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

You know the Mazda dealership by me is also a Jeep one as well? I don't know how or why, but it's Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep/Ram/Mazda.

I put a shitload of desiccant packets in the headlight tonight on a piece of string. It seems to be working. Maybe I can keep this car. :loco:

EDIT: By the morning it was 99% dried out. A few hours after driving and the headlight is completely watered again. First world horseshit!

EDITx2: I wrote a very large complaint here and it felt good to get it out. This is a minor issue that I've made a molehill out of. Idiot.

SADrian, tell me about ownership of a MS3. I've found a couple remaining 2013s here that the dealer wants to unload. Are they a pain in the ass? A joy? Etc etc

I obviously didn't get any of those Volvos I was talking about recently. They're beautiful vehicles but I just can't stand the craptastic build quality. Yesterday I noticed one of the bolts attaching the driver's door to the frame of the wife's XC90 is working its way loose. This morning, I went out to get an ice scraper out of the hatch and the tailgate fell down on my head - failure of both tailgate struts at 95,000 miles. Unbelievable.

More fun to drive than a WRX, and that is saying something. The steering and transmission are excellent. The engine is great although sounds like an angry Ford in a lot of ways. This is my first FWD vehicle, which I thought would drive me nuts, and it doesn't. You can carry a lot of shit. The back seat is actually pretty comfortable. Torque steer is fun, screw the haters. It's an angry little bastard that is a blast to drive.

The ride is harsh as fuck. No seriously. That doesn't bug me, but I'm sure it would others. I will never own a vehicle with low profile tires ever again, but that might just be me still thinking I'm driving a truck. When you hit a pothole it will hurt your back, a lot, and then probably your wallet, a lot. The interior is kind of ugly. It's not a bad ugly, but definitely polarizing. Terrible in the rain, especially with the stock tires. You can't go offroading in it.

Some people say they are loud as well. My first car was a ragtop Suzuki Samurai. People don't know what "loud" even means when it comes to cars until you've spent some time on the freeway in one of those things. Nothing quite like screaming at your single passenger 5 inches away and they still can't hear you.

That video fuckin' rules. I  'd several times.

:kickass: If you buy that, you will be my hero. Well, even more of my hero than you already are I should say. I briefly considered a Charger R/T since I can gig with a 4-door, but those are only available in automatics. Weak shit!

EDIT: Oh and my headlight was replaced, for free, out of warranty and everything. Sure I've already purchased two Mazdas from them, but that really solidified them getting my $$$ for a new(ish) Jeep this summer.

What did they do about the spiders?

Also...man, jeeps are expensive! A jeep sport is the same price as a challenger r/t!

Also...I too like the charger r/t because it is big as hell but yeah....no manual is a no-go

Fuck all automatics. My pending Jeep will probably have one so the wife will drive it. Marriage is gay.

I finally killed the last spider two weeks after my tale above. Fuckin' little bastards kept coming back!

RE: Gigging in a Challenger, there is no way to fit this...

...into a back seat without a pair of rear doors.

12" drivers. I don't use anything else these days. And actually I don't gig with that monster, it lives in my guitarist's Doom Garage. :loco:

The left is my gigging rig, I can fit said gigshit into a regular Mazda3 but getting the big thang into that would prove difficult, if not impossible. It's a pain enough to transport in m'wagon, if I started using that beast at shows it will be due to a large SUV at my disposal.

I should hope so!

I couldn't drive the challenger this past weekend cuz it was raining so today I went to check it out.....and they were closed! Te bastards! They left the car unlocked though so I checked out every inch including the trunk lol
The interior is HUGE for a coupe. Bigger than my subaru. Three adults could sit across the back seat. Hilarious. I love it. I'm hoping to get back there tomorrow when they're open and drive it
