I bought a new car (the "I wanna be like Gugs" thread)...

conversation with the wife while at work the other day after the storms:
wife: "so the Volvo has some hail damage"
me: very lengthy silence
wife: "it's not bad. You can barely see it"
me: "hmm"
wife: "insurance will cover it"
me: "you know that's not free, right? There's a deductible"
wife: "hmm"
me: "fuck it"
wife: "yeah, like I said, you can barely see it"

So I dont even bother looking at until today and the entire side of the vehicle that was facing the storm looks like a golf ball hahahaha I mean FOR FUCKS SAKE

Speaking of McLaren...I think I need this. If I can just come up with an extra $1000 or so a month, it's mine. :loco:

$64k... jesus christ! that thing looks like a pontiac grand am inside!

whenever i'm driving into nyc in the morning, i always see this old fucker driving one of these Porsches. he goes a maximum of 40mph, even on the highway. see him every fucking morning and i wonder why he would buy a sweet car like that just to drive under the speed limit. oh well... to be rich....

Just get a new Cayman R for the same price ... fucking finance it :loco:

pretty much same 0-60 and it doesn't have the ricer wing + full warranty

speaking of, lol @ this link. haha dude put like 900 miles on it before he was like, "holy fuck this is expensive!" and traded it in

the new Boxster is super duper awesome.

speaking of buyers remorse, my bro sold his Cayman hahaha

He recently test drove a 911 for whatever reason though and said it made the Cayman feel like a VW Beetle

believe it or not, carmax is actually an excellent place to buy a vehicle. pretty much everything they sell is relatively low mileage- not to mention that theres a HUGE variety and the cars are seriously scrutinized before they go out on the lot. seen some high-ish prices, but they are typically very reasonable. it's like the supermarket of car dealerships... you can literally go in there and come out with a loan/car in about two hours. no bullshit. never actually put down my own money at a carmax, but plenty of friends have and they were all super satisfied. they even gave a loan to my friend who has the worst credit rating of all time

(and no, i don't work for carmax if that's what you were thinking)

update on saab self-repair: fucking owned that bitch- piece of cake. i read on various forums that the repair is pretty complicated and a pain in the ass (and these are reports from people who like... work on cars for a living). took me about twenty minutes and i am SERIOUSLY glad that i didnt give the dealership any money. i've never even changed my own oil... no idea what these retards are talking about.

otherwise, loving the fuck out of this car.

that's awesome Max ... its a great car ... any issues with the right side center console hitting the knees? any room there?

as far as Carmax ... i heard good things about it too, but their prices seem rather high ... if course dealer prices are even higher.
