I need some recommendations! (Music related)

I need recommendations for some new tunes.

I don't know what I really want to be honest. I need some new death metal, new female-fronted metal, more in-your-face-brutal shit and even some new prog-metal.

Any suggestions?

As for death metal, I wouldn't say check out new shit, but make sure you are squared away with the late 80s/early 90s scene, since thats when 90% of the best DM albums were released.
However, if you are well informed in this field check out what is imo the best death metal album in a decade, Dead Congregation's 2008 offering "Graves of the Archangels", which is good because its heavily influenced by old school DM.


Eric has a lot of good DM recomendations in the death metal thread I made a while back. Theres also some really gay posts in that thread though.

Check out Centaurus A. They're hard to describe but I have a feeling they're up your alley.
