If Mort Divine ruled the world

THE NEW ORIGINAL SIN

Original sin in its original form might now be confined to certain communities who are still apologising to the One True God, but we certainly have a replacement for it and for its deeply unpleasant sense that you just can’t win. People, it seems, still want the repetition of comforting, closed ideas, a sense of in-group and out-group; they want to learn their prayers, they want to repeat them within earshot of other believers and they still take any opposition as evidence of heresy, of people who have not yet been brought into the light. But, as with original sin, it’s the people facing down this new orthodoxy who stand to bring about any sort of meaningful appraisal of what it means to be here, now. The banal concept of ‘privilege’ is failing to indoctrinate everyone, and this can only be a positive.

tbf, that could be a valid feature for someone working in business or politics that's worried about having their career derailed over some PC bullshit. But this is the same company that explicitly states it wants to avoid hiring whites and includes a free, complementary "fake news" warning embedded into their browser for people visiting right-wing websites.

EDIT: Wait

If you describe someone as a “disabled person” the AI would suggest “person with a disability.” Person-first terminology is preferred because it portrays the person as more important than the disability.

What the fuck? Modifiers are now considered more important than subjects and objects in the English language when they come first in a sentence? lmfao.

Just watched the video and Shapiro got annihilated. He seemed to have been pissed off right from the start, and seemed to be unable to say anything substantial. He fell apart in the same way that he usually dismantles his interviewers, and it was fucking hilarious. Right at the end Andrew Neil says "thank you for your time and for showing that anger is not part of American political discourse. And now Mister Shapiro we'll say good bye." Within the context of the video this was such a crushing way to end the interview. You have to watch this CiG, totally worth it.
