I'll download it, and I'll buy it. I can't see the day coming that I won't like Opeth, so it's a given I will continue to own their entire catalogue. This whole "getting it early ruins it" thing is something I don't see. It's not like I'd stand in line overnight just to be at the record store when it opens the day of the CD's release.

Yes but there's something more real in hearing it the first time when you're strolling through the city or listening to it in the listening booth rather than sitting in your computer chair...

this might sound a tad contravertial but i think we as costomers have every right ot try before we buy. I will deffinalty download the opeth tracks as soon as they are made available. Don't see all that much merit in sitting there with the cd booklet in one hand and your cock in the other...I like metal and i'll listen to it as soon as i can get my hands on it

Not if your computer audio rivals a decent home stereo (which mine does).

No. I just don't enjoyed listening to downloaded or even burned music compared to the real thing. I don't find it hard at all to wait.

I've told myself that I wouldn't, and I'm gonna make sure I don't, it's rare that I buy a cd I haven't heard, so it'll fun to not hear it before I buy it.

I downloaded all of Deliverance before I bought it (I bought it on the day it came out), and that might have ruined it a bit, but it was still awesome.

I have noticed that downloading even a few songs (such as for the latest Morbid Angel album) kinda ruined the "surprise", which is sad, so I don't really do any pre-listening anymore. The only time that worked out was with the latest Nevermore album... I shit myself for that one, although I had only heard the title track previously.
