In regards to the Opeth and Enslaved discussion, you still haven't got the point. The thread starter's point in comparing Opeth to Mastodon, Extol , etc. was to throw out some bands that push their genres in new directions. Personally, I think Opeth are as stagnant as a drowned cat, but I digress. Enslaved is currently expanding their sound into the more progressive realms of metal. You called Enslaved a viking metal band earlier. They haven't been a viking metal band for three albums now, at least not in sound. Back on topic, ElectricWiz obviously thinks Enslaved and Opeth are pushing the envelope in their respective genres, hence they have something in common. No one (except you) said Opeth and Enslaved sound the same. He merely said they were similar in aesthetic, not in sound.
