Posing rocks!
But posers suck, depending on how you define poser haha.
If poser means doing the whole big shot rock star thing with hair and costumes and makeup and rock poses etc... then it rules coz that's what rock & roll is all about!
But to me, a "poser" is somebody who just likes whatever is popular to like to be cool. That is bad.
Eg. Poison are NOT posers. They are rock & rollers through and through and they love showbiz and glam. And everything they do is true to that.
Warrant on the other hand are posers. When glam was popular they did DRFSR and Cherry Pie (awesome albums). When grunge was popular they did Ultraphobic and Belly To Belly.
I still haven't made up my mind about Manowar whether they really believe what they preach or whether it's just a really clever way of ensuring that their fans stay loyal by calling them posers if they don't. I think it's a bit of both. They saw that their whole "Death to false metal" thing worked in the beginning and it just seems to have gotten cheesier as they went along, they definitely work their success around that attitude now I think.
