Either with their newest album "The Pale Haunt Departure" or the one before it "To Welcome the Fade" or both, or better yet all of them!

123.

The Pale Haunt Departure got me into these guys. Looking to make another Purchase this weekend.

I wanna Get a Death album, An Opeth album and Novembers Doom. Any Recommendations guys?

It's hard to choose a Death album and an Opeth album because they're all very different from one another and all very recommendable in their own rights.
My personal favorite Death albums are "Individual Thought Patterns" and "Sound of Perseverance".
For Opeth I'd probably go with "My Arms Your Hearse" and "Blackwater Park".

If you enjoyed TPHD, then I'd say get "To Welcome The Fade" next.

My favorite Death albums are Human, Symbolic, and The Sound of Perseverance. Blackwater Park would be the Opeth album I would recommend also.

I'd say Blackwater Park and Symbolic, actually, I think those are the easiest to get into of each band. As far as FAVORITES, though, I like My Arms Your Hearse and Individual Thought Patterns the most.

The only album which I don't like that much, and believe me I listend to it quite a few times,is Opeth's latest album "Ghost Reveries"....it just won't grow on me,don't know why...I love their older stuff..Orchid as well as Morningrise.."Black Rose Immortal" is a great! song imo...

Heh. That's an insanely hard question. For Death I would go with either "Human" or "Symbolic". "Symbolic" is a bit easier on the ears while "Human" is a virtual riff-o-rama. When it comes to Opeth, I'm not really that much of a fan anymore. I would go with "Still Life" though. Novembers Doom is another hard one. Maybe going backwards through the discography would be a good idea.

I think their new one is great, it's much more interesting than the overly sterile and repetitive 'deliverance' anyway. The first two songs are two of their best ever imo.

Man oh man. No love for Leprosy? That's EASILY my favorite Death CD. My age must be showing. Second would be Spiritual Healing, THEN go back to Scream Bloody Gore!
I'm with you on this one Paul, although, I think I would put Spiritual Healing first, then Leprosy....Spiritual Healing is the album I usually grab when I wanna listen to Death...

I feel completely opposite. I didn't think "Deliverace" was sterile at all, I get quite a charge out of that album when I hear it, particularly the title track. "Ghost Reveries" has grown on me, but I prefer the sound of those songs live, as opposed to their studio versions.

As for Death, I like "Spiritual Healing" the most out of those first three albums. I have respect for albums like "Leprosy" and "Scream Bloody Gore" because of their legacy, but especially now I just find some of it too primitive. I was always more of a fan of the technical stuff. I like the aggression and feel of "Leprosy" but eh, not a Rick Rozz fan if you get what I'm saying.
