Of course singles aren't bad, if there's one thing I hate it's people who think "their bands go behind their backs" when they get more famous and sell records to a larger amount of people. Only thing I don't like is when they let that influence their music and intentionally change it to reach an even broader audience, which I personally think has happened to CoB in the last few years but that's another story. It's usually not the bands that decide to release a single either, Dimmu Borgir is a perfect example of that.
