The Unbeliever

Highly highly highly highly highly underrated album.

Damn, if they would play all X-Factor like you would like, I'm not sure what would be the reaction of the crowd...

It would be an extremely positive crowd reaction, because the show would take place at a 300-person club, advertised as "Ferrous Lady (dark atmospheric/doom metal from the UK)". Thus, those few of us smart enough to know the value of 'The X Factor' would be the only ones to show up!

I'm surprised nobody has put freaking Revelations on their set list! I would be happy just seeing that one song played 15 times, with Rime of the Ancient Mariner as an encore haha

It's the middle song in my encore...seen it several times but I'd have no objections to seeing it several times more.

Going to have to spend time on this one. I'll be in the minority though as my setlist will be a good chunk of the newer material that I have not heard live. It will also include older stuff I have not heard live.

So I will be a bit like Jose, I've seen Maiden 10-15 times going back to the 80s so I'd rather see/hear something for the first time vs. hearing certain songs again for the 10+ time.

Though as I type this, I tend to think there are more people like me than people think. Sure many fans come out for the nostalgia show and they'll see like to see The World Slavery Tour over and over, but I would venture to say around 20-25% of their fans have seen those songs enough and want fresh blood.

here's mine:
  1. Be Quick or Be Dead
  2. Paschendale
  3. Twilight Zone
  4. *new albumsong*
  5. Out of A Silent Planet

  12. Mother Russia
  13. Iron Maiden (gotta Close with this)
Encore
  1. Children of the Damned

I'm in. Can Blaze do the vocals for this show?

Only stuff from 7th Son, Somewhere in Time, Powerslave, and # of the Beast for me.

1. Invaders
2. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
3. The Duelists
4. The Prophecy
5. The Clairvoyant
6. The Number of the Beast
7. Two Minutes to Midnight
8. Sea of Madness
9. Alexander the Great
10. Stranger in a Strange Land
11. The Evil That Men Do
12. 22 Acadia Avenue
13. Hallowed Be Thy Name
Encore
14. Aces High
15. Caught Somewhere in Time
16. Rime of the Ancient Mariner

I would want Maiden to perform at least one song from each of their albums. A few of these choices are fan favorites that they don't really play anymore, whereas the rest are my favorites (which, coincidentally, also never get played):

1. Remember Tomorrow
2. Murders In The Rue Morgue
3. Gangland
4. Flight Of Icarus
5. Aces High
6. Caught Somewhere In Time
7. The Clairvoyant
8. Bring Your Daughter...To The Slaughter
9. Judas Be My Guide
10. Man On The Edge
11. Futureal
12. The Fallen Angel
13. Gates Of Tomorrow
14. Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
15. The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner
16. Montsegur

I don't really care about the order of the tunes. I just want to see Maiden perform these songs before they throw in the towel. I think Dickinson would sound excellent on the Di'Anno and Blaze-era tunes that I've picked, and I think the crowd would go apeshit if they busted out into a great deal of these numbers.

Stay metal. Never rust.
Albert

Moonchild
Killers
Futureal
Where Eagles Dare
Ghost of the Navigator
Montsegur
Afraid To Shoot Strangers
Virus
Caught Somewhere In Time
Brave New World
To Tame A Land
Powerslave
The Sign of the Cross
Only The Good Die Young

encore:

The Number of the Beast
Phantom of the Opera
Fear Of The Dark

Completely disregarding all logic and typical Maiden tendencies (aside from song placement)... this would be my personal dream setlist based on seeing the most possible songs I've never seen them do. I only used one song that Maiden have never done live (Should be kinda obvious)

01.Caught Somewhere In Time
02.Futureal
03.Killers
04.Die With Your Boots On
05.The Prisoner
06.Sea of Madness
07.Infinite Dreams
08.Blood Brothers
09.22 Acacia Avenue
10.Stranger in a Strange land
11.Sign of the Cross
12.Fear of the Dark
13.Iron Maiden
Encore:
14.Alexander the Great
15.Phantom of the Opera
16.Hallowed Be Thy Name

After the first song, in no particular order...

1. (Intro Churchill's speach) / Ace's High
2. Two Minutes to Midnight
3. The Prisoner
4. Run to the Hills
5. Moonchild
6. Stranger In A Strange Land
7. Fear of the Dark
8. Hallowed Be Thy Name
9. Clansman
10. Ghost Of Navigator
11. Heaven Can Wait
12. The Clairvoyant
13. Flight Of Icarus
14. The Trooper
15. Hallowed be thy Name
16. Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner
17. The Evil That Men Do
18. Infinite Dreams

8. Hallowed Be Thy Name
15. Hallowed be thy Name

I am just goofin on Zod.
Good tune, but they have played it WAY too much since Bruce came back.
Not sure how true it is, but supposedly Nicko demands it being in the setlist EVERY night.

I had that BEST OF THE BEAST compilation long before having the X FACTOR (I was late in checking out the Blaze era, regretfully). So, I didn't know for a long time that VIRUS was exclusive to the comp (which is why I would question how well known the song is to the majority of fans, first being a Blaze tune, and second being a compilation tune).
