Well, what you are stating are yours OPINIONS, which are not the same as FACTS! Stryper made Christianity look like a joke in your opinion, not in mine. Yeah, they wore make-up and spandex (sp?), and so did everyone else during the 80s. It was the style at the time. Thank God it changed, but it was certainly ok at that time. Now, had Styper looked the way they did in 1986 during the mid-90s, yeah, it would've been a joke. Anyway, your belief that most pop/rock/alternative christian acts are insincere is based solely on the fact that there is a large fanbase (which will pay for CDs, shirt, concerts, etc) for these acts?!? Sounds irrational to me. Seriously, what you're saying is that if bands have religious lyrics then it's not ok for them to make money (or earn a good living) from their intellectual property!!! Really man, that's crazy. I'm sure you don't have a problem with Ozzy making millions, but if a Christian act makes enough money to live a comfortable life then their faith is a farce?!? Hypocrisy! And it sounds subtly like anti-Christianity to me.
By the way, with the exception of a few Unblack and Christian Death Metal bands, I don't really listen to Christian music. Let me add one more thing, just because it's on South Park doesn't make it true.
