Definitely start with Crystal Logic.
That's mandatory metal that should be in your collection already.

Second, I would recommend Mystificiation.

Absolutely true! Hell, I'm going to put it on now. Open the Gates would be my close second, then Mystification. The whole catalog is great though despite the wide variety of styles presented. Jasonic, did you get their latest, Voyager? Totally kicks ass, with some death metal vox even!!!

who else is good on that list? Manilla Road is worth the fare alone, Avenger is ghey. Ancient Creation is that USPM-style band right? Lunarium, is that the BM band that played Heathen Crusade?

Where should a person start exploring Manilla Road? I don't know the first thing about the band, but I'm interested in seeing if they appeal to me.

Crystal Logic -> The Deluge(OOP, will have to download) -> Mystification -> Open the Gates(rare, might have to download as well) -> Gates of Fire/Voyager/Spiral Castle/Atlantis Rising/Courts of Chaos, I haven't listened to Out of the Abyss, Metal and Invasion. the mid 80's material is essential and the rest is good, but no where on par.
