So today I decided to head out to a fairly local skate park one suburb away (I live in Altona Meadows, so Melbourne locals can guess what suburb I'm talking about..............yes, that really fucking ghetto place) and on the way there, 3 kids were walking slowly down a street I was walking down, about 100 meters or so in front of me.
Eventually they stop at the end of the street (the street doesn't continue but leads into a park/walking track thing) and all 3 of them look at me, a chick, and two dudes.
One of the guys then asks me for a cigarette, too which I replied I don't smoke. Then asked for a dollar, which I said I didn't have and then asked for my skateboard. The whole time the chick was giving me that "I'm a snotty nose tough bitch" look. Little cunt is probably gonna be pregnant in a year.
I just walked away and expected them to follow me, but they didn't (they probably realized at that point I was a good 5-6 years older than them).
I'm not a violent person at all, but I honestly wanted to just grab my skateboard and to just smash it in their fucking faces because I know that would at least put them in their place and show them they aren't such the tough little wankers they think they are.

As a 21 year old, even though it's like my teen years were seemingly only yesterday, I feel as if the generational gap between me and the average kid of 15-16 is absolutely enormous.
It just sickens me that seemingly every second kid, even more, that come out of these less well off suburbs constantly walk around with this "tough guy/girl" attitude.
They seem capable of keeping this act up the entire day they are in public too. I recall very recently, yesterday in fact, waiting at the train station for a bus to get home, and seeing these 3 guys around 17-18 walk out of a local shop to walk to a rubbish bin.
You'd think they could just walk to the goddamn thing in a normal manner, but no, they do that "tough guy" walk to a rubbish bin about 2 FUCKING METERS AWAY from the entrance of the shop.

Really wish all these kids could be round up, and sent to a boot camp, so they could lose the tough guy/girl attitude bullshit and learn to do something more productive with their time rather than loitering around train stations, run down streets etc and trying to be intimidating and harassing people.

I know sometimes we go on youtube and complain about 15-16 year old kids who sit in there bedroom all day just shredding and can't play with feel worth a shit, but somehow I think I'd much prefer that more kids did that and kept out of trouble than getting pregnant at the age of 15, and asking me for my skateoard.

Oh man, don't even get me started. I never realized 'old man syndrome' kicks in this early.

I can't help but feel these kids that have been brought up by the internet have some pretty fucked up concept of reality. The problem with our society is that it's fairly insular, and our contact with the rest of the world is somewhat limited. Instead of being able to travel overseas easily (not to shitholes like Thailand and Indonesia) and experience true culture etc. the kids are instead stuck experiencing the human waste that pervades the net.

This and many of them don't know true struggle and conflict, so they create it for themselves. They are ultimately just bored teenagers and want to feel a part of something. Unfortunately, the most accessible thing is always that tribal, gang life bullshit (you guys in the US have a lot to answer for, perpetuating this as part of your popular culture).

To be honest mate I struggle to go out at all these days. All I see in my walks down through the city, lygon or brunswick street are assorted wankers of all kinds. You struggle to just go about your business without being sized up, and that sense of insecurity has just worn me down. I want to fucking kill 80% of people I meet here because they are either:

-Scum
-Incompetent
-Ignorant
-All 3 (Police, Government officials etc.)

I'm gonna be a dick and say you see this so often because you're looking for it. I could find problems with every little bit of society if I really wanted to, but I wake up every day and make a choice to be happy and positive - happiness really is a choice, and nothing else.

And then I log on here and that all goes to shit.

ermz, most of the dropkicks i know arent internet brought up, but more influenced by their wanting to misbehave and not conform to law. their low life, moneyless parents don't help either, so they have nothing better to do than be fucking annoying.

Harry- stop walking through Lavo. You know that's where they all hang out :p

Ermz - I completely agree with you about the City. I lost count of the cunts I wanted to smack in the mouth walking down Swanston St on Saturday.

I think the problem is causes by the actual generation of parents. I grew up in the 80s and all my friends think the same: when we did a mistake, our parents punished us, gave as a slap in the face, etc... now, if a kid is rejected at school, parents can go at school to punch the principal in the face...also if the kid is rejected because he didn't study.
There are also some parents that argue about cartoon shows and tv programs, like they can't educate their child to understand what they are watching. I remeber I always watched what I want and I clearly understood what was real and what was fake (cartoon, videogames,etc...).
Now parents wanna delegate the whole education to the School and to the TV...it's really ridicolous. I watched every japanese robot series, Hokuto no ken and all these kind of cartoon, and now parents protest about cartoon like The Simpsons and Dragon Ball :D ...
I think the next generation of parents (I'm included on this generation) could improve this shitty situation because we grew up with different principle and all my friends think the same.

Another note: when I was at High school, we wanted a girl so bad...but girls didn't want us. So we were forced to think about something else, for example motorcycles, football, etc... :D and one of the best occasion to do something with a girl was when we skived to go to the park.
Now what happens? Girls are already bitches at 15 and now that guys can fuck them when they want, you see groups of kids in the same park when we kisses our girls, drinkin a bottle of vodka instead of stay with girls :D

Harry, there's no better feeling than busting little fuckers like those over the head with a bit o' wood, and gauging their friends reactions when you ask if they'd like a taste ;)

There's no other possible way to put little peckerwoods like that in their place. Intelligence doesn't work, threatening to tell their folks doesn't work (ties into the no-respect issue which also ties into parents in areas like that being too poor/uncaring to even give a fuck about raising a child properly.) Hell even speaking to them in a calm, assuring manner doesn't work. The only thing that does is violence, and lordy, to wipe the shit-eating smirk off of some little asshole's face, and making them realize they're a complete toolbag wannabe fucknut makes any intelligent human's day. Only after that happens will they realize that it's completely wrong to fuck with people, because you may pick the 1/100 that knows 36 different ways to fuckin' kill a man from a dead standstill. No, I'm not pulling a tough-guy card. I lived in a VERY, VERY ghetto area (waking up to people dead on my lawn/etc) for 14 years, and have the general experience on how to handle things. My view may and will vary from most of yours, but it's worked so far through these 20 years of life/survival.

Kids. Are. Fucking. Stupid. The level of stupidity varies from culture to culture, unfortunately you had to deal with one of the lower tiers

EXACTLY! When I was a kid, if I fucked up, either my Mom made me walk into the backyard to pick the stick she'd beat me with, or my Dad would make me run up and down stairs damn near to the point where my heart stopped, on-top of month-at-a-time groundings.

What do kids get now? Their iPod's/Cellphones/Xbox 360's/Computers/Cigarette Privileges/Radios/TVs/*Insert ANY luxury most of us NEVER had as a kid here* are taken away. Pick any one of those and it's considered a proper punishment. MY FUCKING ASS, how does that teach a child respect?

Everytime I see a first world thug wanna be I wonder how gangsta he would act on a favela 3 minutes from where I live.
