ParaNorman - quite possibly one of the creepiest kids movies I have ever seen. Also one of the cutest. And saddest.
Coraline still tops the list of Uber-creepy kids movies, with The Witches in #2. ParaNorman takes #3 creepiest.

Coraline seriously creeped me the hell out, but my wife loved it. I'm not sure that I'd show it to my daughter, though.

Wound up seeing American Hustle instead of Lone Survivor on New Year's Day and I'm convinced that's probably my film for 2013. Saw Wolf Of Wall Street today but I think Hustle was better.

Only for games. I tried some Region B blu ray discs and the warning came up. Now, there are some films released in Europe only that are region free. But the extras won't play.
Now, I can watch R2 tv on DVD like The Saint (Moore, Ogilvy, Dutton etc) and other British shows. Before, I just changed the DVD drive's code on the computer.
Good on Santa for making it happen

watched this today on Netflix. Hilarious. Having been going to comic cons for over a decade I had no clue this sub culture existed.

I got mine at 220electronics right out of the northern burbs. They have a walk in show room or you can order online. I have a LG Blu Ray. Costed like $120. Use it all the time.

Last movie in the theater - the Hobbit Desolation of Smaug - LOVED IT.. did the whole IMAX 3D HFR view.. Loved it so much, met up with my brother and saw it again the following day..
12 Years a Slave was outstanding as well...
Last Netflix view, Hunger - I love Michael Fassbender but this movie was painful.. 45 mins before 2 consecutive sentences were spoken.. UGH couldn't finish it...

This was a joke in one of the episodes of "Hot in Cleveland" - didn't know it was for real!!!
Last movie watched was The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Didn't like it as well as the first movie, but not surprised, as I felt like the books went downhill after the first one.

Heh, being a fan of nerd culture, I do know some Bronies... I actually decided to check out the first episode of Friendship is Magic (which is the version of My Little Pony that these guys follow), and I can officially say that I don't understand the appeal for adult males, even arrested-development ones. But then, I also don't like anime and cartoons in general.

You're right, besides all the disgusting porn they spit up all over the internet to the point where for a while you couldn't go on imageboards without seeing it - and besides the fact they would de-rail Youtube video comments sections with heaps of nonsense, harass you in person on the street, and send death threats to bloggers who called them out, what's not to like?

I am on a bad run....watched...
The Colony....wow, I don't think Laurence Fishborne or Bill Paxton read the full script on this mess of a movie. It was interesting because this was set to come to theaters in June of 2013. passed theaters and went to the red carpet in everyones living room with VOD. it was a mess of a movie.
then I was looking for something mindless and watched Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters. Another turd.
I really want to see The Hunt but I just read the subtitles are messed up on Netflix. will have to wait and see.

I have to agree....while I don't hate them as much as you but people like this is what ruins conventions for guys like myself. They are so over the top and annoying.
