They're not bad songs but there is so much better stuff on this album.


Twilight In Olympus

- Orion - The Hunter and Lady of the Snow

Pity that the record label rushed the release and SX had no time to finish the album properly. Thanks to the record label we will never hear the title track.


V - The New Mythogy Suite

- Absence of Light

If you really have to pick something it's this song...


The Odyssey

- The Turning

Not bad but not really great either.

I havent got the 1st one so i cant comment.

Damnation Game - Secrets. Its just kinda boring and weak

DWoT - Witching hour. There most power-metal influenced song of the album and i don't really like power-metal thet much. The chorus just goes nowere.

TiO - Sonata. This is bassicly an exuse as its not a proper Syx song.

V - Transcendence - Same as above

Oddysey - Haha. I can get off on this one.yay. I choose Masquerade. I got the special edition version so this is just a cheat.

get it right when they re-record it.

Damnation Game: The weakest record of Russ-era (still good ).
Savage Curtain (just doesn't hit me)

Divine Wings...: Every song is good, but the title track (now I'm gonna
get it) is not as good as many people say...

Twilight In Olympus: Sonata (when a record has only 8 tracks in it,
songs like this should not exist)

V: I'm not particularly fond of any instrumental in this record.

The Odyssey: Not a single bad song but Incantations Of The Apprentice
is the least good

I can listen to any SymX song that I own. Not a single song I skip over...if I had to choose anything it would be the live version of Prelude (V) without the chorus vocals. The intro just seems really empty without them. Mind you I haven't gotten around to ordering DG or TiO...west coast music stores don't really house SymX in Canada so I gotta save up my wee Canadian dollars and buy online...and I'm waiting for the re-recording of the debut.

Remember that the record label rushed the release so SX had no time to finish the album properly. In my opinion the whole album needs a little polishing here and there but still has abt.40 minutes great stuff.

I am having trouble believing that not that many people enjoy the Witching Hour. That's a great song. It's all about the classical style riffs and the bite.

TDG: I don't see what's so great about the title track...all the other songs on the album (except for "Secrets" are better)...

TDWOT: I guess "Pharaoh" is okay (average), and the chorus in "The Witching Hour" sucks.

TIO: I think "Sonata" is boring, and there's not many positive things I can say about "Lady of the Snow" (the verses are good, though).

V: The only weak song here is "The Bird-Serpent War/Cataclysm".

The Odyssey: The only song I don't really like (at all) is "The Turning". I love "Incantations...", and I'm not sure why most SyX fans dislike it so much.

Damnation - Damnation Game, Savage Curtain(the song is cool but ruined by the chorus)

Divine - Of sins and shadows and witching hour

Twilight - I like em all

V - the only ones I can still listen to now are Prelude, Evolution, Communion, Fools paradise, and Rediscovery. I just totally played this album out. It was the only X album I owned for two years.

Odyssey - Wicked is the only song I don't like
