lets see some pics of everyones set up..

Hehe. Moony.. are those custom made iso pads under your mons? they look like auralex iso pads but they are rounded.. did you buy a fancy foam shaving tool? =)

you GOTTA bail that CRT monitor! newegg has a nice 19" LCD right now for $160 after rebate. I bought 2 of em... they are killah:

its not an apple HD 20" but... they are NOT bad! those damn CRT's require chair swiveling or on/off when doing takes!! =)

Yeh, believe me, half the equipment in my room isn't here by choice. I've been meaning to oust the CRT and the entire PC rig for quite a while now, but it's never been financially viable. As you said, worst thing is turning that thing on and off between takes.

They're not custom pads btw. The auralex ones cost something dear... these were a generic brand, exact same material.

But yeah I hope it was obvious that I posted that pic as a joke more than anything else.

Ok stop laughing - its a start !

I found my PMA6 to sound better, as well as being less than half the price (in Australia anyway). The Truths have a very odd voicing to me... same as with the NS10s, I don't think it's something I could ever get used to. Of course to each their own. If you're happy with them, then that's great.

well, hah, here's my barebones setup. looking to get a Firepod and some outboard pre's next.. Need to lop an inch or so off my speaker stands but my ears actually line up directly between the tweeter and woofer when sitting in my chair, so :headbang:

This is a shot of my "vocal booth". I 'built' a three-walled enclosed room out of plywood and such I had laying around. It's hot as hell inside and doesn't sound fantastic but it's pretty vibey inside. o_O The red door is the back of the booth.
