Well, the last album at first seemed like shit, but then grew on me to a point where I love a couple songs... but there are still some lame moments... I just think its cool that they are still together !
The influence is obvious... Paradise Lost for sure... Novembre (they even covered DM!)... MANY OTHERS, also The Deftones, Smashing Punpins and several major bands !
I think they are a very special band.
Pop ? Maybe... but wonderful dark electronic pop.

1 - Do you like the song on Exciter that goes Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer, Veeeehhhhhhrrrrrrr, Veeeeeeeeeeer, Veeeeeehhhhhr, Neeeeeeeeeeeer ? Thats the music (not lyrics).
2 - Are from Norway or Russia ?

I like Depeche mode.... But is most definitely mainstream, and at times pop yes..... The earlier albums less so

I love Depeche Mode....They also have an influence on Dark Tranquility, just listen to #8 Day to End on Projector. I also read something about Depeche Mode on DT's website once....unfortuantly i have not heard the new one yet.
