Live Footage

Okaaaaaaaay, I just got a call from a friend of mine saying that MySpace can attract some crackpots.... This could be a mistake  Spill the beans Tim, what do you know about it?

I'm not saying you're the crack pot Tim hee hee, but I don't want any psychos leaving me weird messages. :) And I'm not saying you're a psycho either :D

Is that so? And you realise I know your phone number and where you live, right? :heh:

You must have been having a rack of lamb for dinner?

Tim, I need to clarify a bit because you are indeed my lovely friend...When you put that wink in your comment about people coming to MySpace, I thought it was warning about what I might be in for, but I've since looked into it a bit and I see that you have control over who your "friends" are and the removal of inappropriate comments.

Yeah, I was just teasing... although if I'm still there you've made a grave error in weeding out the crackpots! :p HAHA!

nice song, not really my thing. Only piano chick song I've seemed to get into is Wuthering Heights actually. Because that song is awesome.

But I can appreciate a well written song, and that is one.

Babushka is the most ridiculous song in a lot of ways but I love the melody of the verse. I always found it very engaging and then when she breaks into the chorus, it was a strange exhilaration I felt. She was well ahead of her time that lady. Ah Kate Bush. I think I should write her as one of my influences. Sometimes you don't realise something was an influence until you have conversations like these.

If I might take the floor again...

*The Maiden Downunder members shake their head knowing full-well she is going to anyway and hope to god she'll shut up soon*

...I was just practicing the piano then and I thought of Phloggy again ;) and there are actually quite few songs where I bash the piano like, "Let The Rain Fall Down", "Say It's Over" as well as "Sanctity" that I mentioned before. In fact, it was so hard to write a positive, happy song for this album, it was getting silly. There are a couple on there that were blatant attempts at trying to put a bit of light where there only seemed darkness. Get out the violins now but as I said before, last year was the climax to ending a bloody terrible relationship and although I thought outwardly I was being very positive and I was at peace with it, I couldn't hide it in the music. Very interesting that. For me, anyway...

Ok, finished for now.

The album cover doesn't have a picture of you in a rocking chair holding a shotgun does it?

I'm told by friends of mine who are more courageous about matters of the heart than me that Tori's "Boys For Pele" is the ultimate breakup album. I listen to and enjoy it all the time, but because I've never had the guts or opportunity to get mixed up in such things, I don't respond to it that way. Although lyrics like "I've shaved every place where you've been, boy" are kind of obvious...

Also, you do realise that Kate Bush would still be singing in the shower if David Gilmour hadn't been so impressed with the way she kept falling out of her leotard? ;)

I've always admired Pele as a footballing legend, but I didn't realise he liked boys. Oh well, you learn something new every day.

 Pele was in fact a goddess (Aztec I think) whose worshippers used to appease her by throwing young male sacrifices into volcanoes.

Don't ask me how I manage to remember all this crap. I think crossword puzzles have taken their toll on my poor brain. My social skills might be woeful, but I'm a handy guy to have around at quiz nights.

Ah that clears that up then! ;)

I wish I had your retentive memory! It must prove to be useful at times...especially at quiz nights, like you said.
