It is actually based directly on a photograph which I think makes it a little less impressive, personally. I mean the drawing looks great but it seems a lot easier to do when you are just copying an existing photograph 1:1. So it isn't really fair to compare it to the guy who drew the artwork for the booklet.

The pics in his galleries do look amazing. The fact that they are done straight out of a photograph does show that his not that great of a talent, but I still think that the pure feeling you get with the hand drawn images is awesome. Sure wouldn't mind getting a pic like that made out of our band...

Some of his cover arts are cool too, especially the ones done with computer. I don't personally dig the old school black metal style, so that's kind of out of my judgement.

That Opeth drawing is downright incredible. The shading and proportion and everything - it's just wonderful to look at (and that just so happens to be my fave pic of the band - have the shirt too.)

Don't even get me started on the gallery found on his website. Perfection! That's all I have to say. Damn, I'm a good drawer myself, but it still amazes me how one can shade like that.
