seems when i was first getting into metal, i would soak up anything and everything that came my way. now, as my tastes have been pretty much defined, and as i'm getting older, i tend to stick to what i know. i am still open minded about new bands, but it takes much more to impress me, and a lot of stuff tends to sound the same to me.
i also tend to go for the more melodic stuff. i still need that raw, in your face sound once in a while, but the need used to me much greater. is this the sign of an aging metal head???
how about going to shows??
it used to be i would go see any underground or known bad that came to town, or even many towns away.... but now i don't go to as many shows any more...
i generally only go to see shows of bands that i really like, or if its someone new that really floored me ...
i dunno if its age, or if i've just become picker over the years....
