I Made my mother listen to softer stuff I used to listen, and she enjoyed some of it like Therion, Metallica, even Slayer's 'Raining Blood' ! But she didn't enjoy death metal vocals
My father is less open-minded than her

Anyway, now I live with my girlfriend, who also loves metal, and that's not a problem anymore
