LOVE TRANSIENTS HATE EDITING IN REAPER!?

These settings are handy depending on what you are doing but the exact opposite settings are very useful as well... I find myself toggling this stuff on and off often depending on what I'm doing, but more often than not I want auto crossfades at my split points and a default fade length of >0...
 
well when you don't want the crossfade to kill your tran thats what you can do =)

What are you doing that is causing crossfades to kill your transients dude? If you follow my quantization method in Reaper it is impossible to lose transients. Even if you split everything at the transients and the crossfades happen right over the transients, once you go through the rest of the quantization process all of them are AUTOMATICALLY fixed...

tbh honest i don't know just i've found reaper alot more fun if you do this and then you controll the crossfades and yeah i use your guys methods. works perfectly thank you so much

Slicing some wav with samples of a snare or tom.

Tab+S to cut on the transients.
