lyric interpretation thread

No personal analysis, i need to hear the whole concept a thousand times or more, before i even dare to bend my mind over it.
I've given my few cents over the past years about what i made up personally about some songs and cover artwork, so i will not post those again.

Forgive me if i misheard, i'm just a freaky deaky dutchie but this is what i could make of it.
I have my doubts about a few words so please fill me in and/or correct me if i'm wrong.

Plague, in your selfish state and enraged
Never shall one die, that cannot decided the truth
Never should one cry, so suffer the children

The sticks arrived to assist? around the stage
Black expression is for self rage

Create and deny, your subversive ways
The obsidian conspiracy is rising
Justify your shame
The obsidian conspiracy is rising

Regardless of the consequence
We drown inside our arrogance
We choose to bring our nameless
To this false place so shameless

Never should one die, that never could see absolute
Never should one cry, let nothing destroy them

To play the line in indifference and feed the plague
This black attender of hate is more than pain

Create and deny, your subversive ways
The obsidian conspiracy is rising
Justify your shame
The obsidian conspiracy is rising

The coming waves, in silent rage
Will storm the sea of blast and in it's rage all but blood remains

Never should one die, that cannot decide the truth
Never should one cry, so suffer the children

Create and deny, your subversive ways
The obsidian conspiracy is rising
Justify your shame
The obsidian conspiracy is rising

Dethroning sage, can't seal the silence
The violent storm, can never be heard
these are my last words

Driving back from band practice stoned one night, 'Insignificant' hit me pretty fucking hard.
I'm surprised I made it home.

Lyrically, I think Enemies of Reality is WD's magnum opus.

Me too. I've thought that since it's release. I think the awareness and almost mysticism of the lyrics on that record are unmatched.

In some ways I was saddened by the turn taken on TGE to something more mundane (not in the boring sense of the word), and it looks like the new record will continue with that.

what about "evolution 169?"

i think that it is about the coexisting of creationism and evolution. hence the title containing evolution and what appears to be a reference to the bible, or a bibles verse. idk, just a thought. i love to analyze warrel's lyrics especially.

I'm pretty sure that one has something to do with chaos theory.

ambivalent makes me think of Icarus

'Inside four walls' makes me think of my mom.

But, in 'The Sorrowed Man' always had the imagery of some grand metaphysical masonic 'temple' up in the 'skies'. Jesus on the cross is often referred to as 'the sorrowed man'. It clearly centers around the 'all the world's a stage' theme though.
That, and I strangely relate the last few lyrics from 'Dreaming neon black' to Tarot card symbolism*shakes head* [sun(the conscious mind), moon(doubt, confusion, dreaming, nightmares), jester(the search)]. 'The Order of Jesters' and 'The Order of Doves' were both minor mystic societies.
But that's just me, I don't think it actually has anything to do with it, it just clicks with the meaning of the song.

Edit: I'm hitting this.

'Welcome to the pleasuredome, the crowd is watching you '

For me, that stands for those who present programs on TV and the playfields that the media uses to influence the entire world.

" And one by one we crawl, and two by two
Into the mouth of madness, we seek the perfect view "

To me that stands for the media and it's effect it spreads through TV.
16:9 is a widescreen format and 'the mouth of madness' stands for me for a TV. 'To seek the perfect view' stands for the information the media spreads through TV and how mankind is digesting everything they see.
How they make up their own truth as an individual 'one by one' or believe everything they see as a majority 'two by two'

'In organised chaos, evolution 169'

What the effects of that 'truth' will be for the majority, on a long term base.
And if we will ever see clearly or being capable of deciding what is our truth, instead of digesting and eating the worms the media is spreading through the TV channels.
