New Origin song, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Sounds like a rough demo production wise and I don't think their new vocalist is appropriate for their sound. He has more of a hardcore feel rather than a brutal death feel. Too my ears at least, there are some who would disagree with that but I just feel that the vocalist they had before was better suited to the band.

Their newer stuff isn't but their older material is definitely influenced by it a lot. Entity took a long time for me to get into and I don't think this one will do much for me.

Origin have always been pretty damn brutal.
Track was pretty cool .... but i dunno, that sounded like they're going more towards a generic brutal dm sound rather than their usual brutal tech-death. Last thing i'd want from an awesome tech-death band is for them to dumb down their music. But yea, i enjoyed the track ... really looking forward to the new album.

I might actually enjoy it if they dumbed down to brutal death. I seem to remember their drums being really annoying.

Here's a track off Ceremonial Casting's next release: 'Chthulu'. It's due out in early July I believe. Track sounds good to these ears. I really liked their last album, 'Salem 1692'.
