Metal 2014

New Sleep and Om should be out this year, hopefully a new Acid King and Electric Wizard as well and Gorgoroth have finished recording their new album

Blut Aus Nord - Memoria Vetusta III - Saturnian Poetry

Theres no artwork or tracklisting released yet but it should be a good one.

Behemoth, Iced Earth, and Sleep I am excited about. Waitin that IE Plagues of Babylon to hit Rhapsody, rather than hear a song here and there.

But mega MEGA stoked Electric Wizard is workin on something new! Maybe they'll consider coming to Detroit for once... lots of fans here.

Didn't you say you didn't like any iced earth without Barlow? Probably not much to look forward to in that case. I still say Block is fine though and frankly don't want Barlow back and half assing stuff.

I may have worded it poorly. It's not like I hate everyone else, I just don't think they touch B. New albums by bands I dig are always worth a shot.

New While Heaven Wept Fall 2014!

One of my favorite bands. According to their facebook this album is one 40-minute track.

From the facebook:
'...EXTREMELY epic album...it is very obvious that this 40 minute song is light years beyond anything we've ever done...never thought we could 'top' "Vast Oceans Lachrymose"...but this will decimate it. Expect the nothing less than the definitive While Heaven Wept statement."

I'm not usually a huge fan of long tracks like this but While Heaven Wept usually keeps me supremely entertained. With their own description for their upcoming album I am extremely excited.

I will just say now it isn't going to be as good as Vast Oceans, but I will definitely give it a try. I've liked the band since they played doom metal.

Dallas Toler-Wade of Nile has a side project. Sounds pretty cool
Always loved his vocals
lyrics are pretty gay though, whatever. lol

No it really isnt, that song was awful.

Well new Dead Congregation this year would be awesome. Looking forward to the new Teitanblood, Corpsessed, Necros Christos EP, and Ulver & Sunn O))) collab so far as well.

Yeah jesus christ that song was fucking horrendous. Metal by numbers with really stupid lyrics about "drugs and alcohol r bad mkay". And why is the song called shackles of sobriety if its about trying to break free of drug addiction i.e obtaining sobriety i.e being liberated from drug addiction (in this context atleast).

Those are two conflicting concepts i.e oppressed (shackled) and set free (sobriety). Is he saying that being sober is actually an oppressive state of being, one keeping him from shooting heroin, blowing coke and drinking beers? But it seems like he's condemning those things in the lyrics.

This shit doesn't even make any fucking sense. He even says "break the shackles......of sobriety". lolwut. Is sobriety a good or bad thing? I don't have any idea, or did I seriously miss something?

These lyric videos record companies post on youtube just become more and more retarded every year I swear to god.

Empyrium will have a new one out (finally) some time in 2014 called 'The Turn of the Tides'. Sounds like they're gonna bring back some of their old sound if you go by their latest track "Dead Winter Days'.
