E. Wizzy seems to age well, so I anticipate good things from this record.

This is playing like a math rock/90's space rock (a la Hum) record. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that this will go down as one of Cynic's many unpopular creative decisions.

I dig it though.

I'm not sure how this one will turn out. It's barely been a year since the last one. I hope they aren't just crapping out albums left and right with a disregard for quality. I'm interested but worried. I still need to listen to the Headless Ritual.

The Headless Ritual isn't that good sadly. I will be hopeful though.

That's what I've heard, I don't think we're going to see Macabre Eternal part 2 anytime soon though.

After numerous plays I can safely say that I think The Headless Ritual is just as good, if not better than Macabre Eternal. Might be too soon for a new album but who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.
