Metal 2016

So my wife's family friend has a business he's making money like crazy selling these virtual reality boxes for your phone. He already has her mom and dad in on it making a surprising amount of money and I wanted to see what it was all about. The long box version of the new Megadeth is one of the boxes (not specifically the ones he produces, of course) and they cost $11.88 at Walmart right now. Decided to grab one. I might eventually listen to the cd. Lol.

Man, All of their stuff is really good. I really liked the last one Archangels in Black. But their older stuff is still amazing stuff regardless. I mean they have one of the best Neoclassical Shred guitarists in Stephan Forte. Dude's a fucking master.

They've added a Violinist to the band. And still no word on who the Vocalist is. So I'm hoping it'll be someone who can pick up where they left off.

Yeah archangels in black is the last one I heard too. That was like what 2010 or something?

Dude is definitely one of the best current neoclassical guitarists, up there with Michael Romeo, yngwie, and Exmortus.

That album with in nomine is probably my favorite from them.

Sanctus Ignis, yeah that album is fucking gold man. And Archangels in Black was released in 2009, so this new album is 7 years in the making I can't wait, Like this is the same kind of excitement I had for Wintersun's Time

Have you heard Stephan Forte's 2 solo albums? Shits amazing.

I could listen to this song over and over

Nah but now I'm excited to get home and listen to them. Is it instrumental?

Mostly yeah, few songs here and there with vocals If I remember correctly. He's had a few guest musicians like Jeff Loomis, Glen Drover, Marty Friedman, Paul Wardingham. It's awesome.

Cool man, sounds great. Yeah I always love good neoclassical stuff. If you know any others feel free to toss em out there :) I found a good one a while back but I can't recall the name offhand. It's on my iTunes at home, will post later.
