So I'm a bit of a language snob. I've studied about 6 or 7 to a basic conversational level but never to fluency. One thing I'd like to do is listen to music in a language I'm studying. I don't care if it's growled or anything, since that's what lyric sheets are for, so long as it's not in English.
The languages in particular I'm interested in are Swedish, Norwegian, Polish, Japanese, and Chinese. Especially Swedish and Polish.
Some of the bands I like are Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, Kamelot, Nevermore, Behemoth, Katatonia, and Meshuggah. Lots of black/symphonic metal and prog. Some of those bands do have music in other languages but a lot of it is their very early albums and the low recording quality aggravates the crap out of me.
