I got a japanese Fender 60s jazz bass. Its well niceeee. Sunburst

Yeah, I guess that's nice, but we're talking about me here :D

Seriously though, guys! Doesn't anyone else have an instrument Opeth uses?
If I had the money I'd buy the whole band Opeth off Roadrunner and
hang 'em neatly on my wall. Play 'em whenever I wanted. Perhaps on my
wedding or something =)

Hey, wait a minute, that would be awesome! I just thought of a new thread! -
Talk to you there! :Spin:

Love it. I'm looking at it right now. "She's" gonna help me write a new song I'm working on.

I play the guitar (ofcuze), electric guitar (Black Epiphone Les Paul :worship: ) and a bass (Squier) - Do you play any instrument at all?

/Cheers!

fucking sweet man...my next step will probably be getting a small bodied martin...i would like a spruce top, as i have the d-15 right now. (solid mahogany)...i also have some HUGE hands, which as i get older, grow stronger and thicker...so, i need to find one with more distance between the strings...(don't remember what that word is)

as for martins...yah, they fucking rock. for me, its all about the mids and dynamics. i think that martins shine there.

yeah dude i play bass

The only Opeth related gear I've got are a Seagull 6-string acoustic, but I'm planning on purchasing a BOSS GT-8.(not just because Opeth uses them, but I figured, if it's good enough for Opeth, it's good enough for me) :Spin:

Which one - the yellow? (He's got three Fender's you know!)

Well, the yellow is beautiful!
And the reddish/brown...
:Spin:

They've all got great instruments, I think!

It's a natural finish Marcus Miller signature jazz bass

Hey,

Guess what I just bought... No, not the PRS Custom, but I got the next best
thing: a CF Martin 000-16GT - the guitar heard in albums
Deliverance, Damnation and Ghost Reveries! The one Mike and Steven Wilson
plays in the documentary "The Making of D&D" :D

I'm totally satisfied - it's an amazing guitar! I've been meaning to buy a new
acoustic for quite some time, but it just recently hit me: why not try the
one Mike plays; I've always liked its appearance. So I did!

The 000-16GT has a small body in solid mahogny and spruce and delivers
excellent, crisp sound! Incredible intonation, very balanced, good for strum but
preferrably picking and ... well, have a look for yourselves:

So, does anyone else have an instrument that Opeth uses? Tell us!

:Spin:
Wow, that's great. You must really be seriously into the guitar to spend that much. Have fun with it.

Yeah I am! I love the guitar. Especially mine :)

As I'm writing & recording more and more acoustic songs I want a
good instrument that sound awesome and doesn't let me down by getting
out of tune all the time, basically. =) I know. I can get cheaper guitars
with that kind of qualities. But I've really searched and tried a bunch of
guitars. This was the one that really caught my eye and ear :)

Furthermore, my guitar buy was an investment. If - and be sure to note the if -
I sell it I'll get my money back. It'll not lose value. But I'll never sell it! End of story :)

now all you need is some stickers of a sunbird in flight to use as your fret markers ; )
