Mike Romeo on G3?

I think MJR has a quite cool rock sound and I guess it would fit very well,
anyway I also don't think they would ask him, since he's to unknown :(

The beauty of G3 is that each lineup has successfully attracted somewhat diverse crowds. Players like Eric Johnson, Petrucci, and Yngwie(who I despise) all brought in their own followings. Though I love Satch, I find his music to be much more predictable and significantly less awe-inspiring than any of the other previous players. He is simply no longer a "draw" for me. I mean, who the hell hasnt seen him live? He tours often, and plays 3hr shows. I will always attend G3, but never specifically for him.

That being said, Tony Macalpine would be amazing, as would Romeo. Whoever suggested Steve Morse is a genius had a great idea. A return of Eric Johnson would be killer too. And didn't Kenny Wayne Shepherd fill in on some dates when EJ dropped off the tour? I don't think I'd welcome him back.

to be honest with you...WHO THE FUCK CARES.... if its nearby, and affordable it can still be an awsome night out! on Gigantour most people paid for tickets just to see a certain band than left... 30 minutes isn't much of a show (especially in Symphony X's case) but man did it kick ass!

Yeah, eccept Satch needs to learn that he can't sing worth shit...

haha yeah, he isn't too great. especially on foxy lady, but hendrix really wasn't the best singer either, but i like how he sings more or less.

satch isn't too bad on big bad moon, or a song like that, imo.

When Yngwie was in g3 he dominated the whole show, he was a power house and made vai and satch look dull.

If by "power house" you mean fat sloth, then I agree. If by "dominate" you mean took a back seat, then I agree.

 i've never been a huge fan of yngwie either. he's an asshole from what i hear, and a majority of the time he just plays fast stuff over and over that is a complete blur. and yes, he's a fat sloth  still respect his playing however, even if i'm not a big fan.

but i think that just goes to show everyone has their opinion with guitarists, and when you get 3 top players together, everyone is going to have their opinion and think one did better than the other.
