this is pretty much the truth. I download a lot of music and enjoy buying the albums I like, but really, $15+ for a brand new CD (unless you're paying for an import) is nothing but a scam. you can walk into a mall and find CDs priced for $18.99. fuck that
luckily there's trading/used CD networks like lala and amazon. dirt cheap. the only way.
I understand - I was just speaking [for myself] of normal, contemporary circumstances. if there's an album that's special to you and it's very rare because it's out of print, then you have good reason to expect and to follow through on paying more $ than usualSome people want albums you can't find for download, that have been out of print for a very long time.
Manowar - the Triumph of Gay Sex. $2. Took it into the second-hand CD shop two days later and got $3 in trade for it.This would be better if this was the "cheapest cd you ever bought" thread tbh
Dir En Grey for the win.The most expensive CD was $42 U.S. It was an import from Japan, I think it was Lynch's Greedy Dead souls, but it was probably Dir En Grey's Vulgar.
The cheapest one I ever bought was for my sister, it was some shittypunk band that she loved at the time. $1.
You guys are insane to buy CD at that price BUT I'll do it too if I really REALLY like the band...I spent 55 on Blind guardian imports from germany, does it worth it? damm I just dont know...I felt guilty and not happy, am I alone in that situation?!?
