they're one of several Godspeed You Black Emperor! side projects. very enthralling music. it seems these guys have so much music to give to the world.

as for me, i don't find any music depressing. i love MDB and Katatonia, though i find their sound relaxing. of course, i also mellow out to Cryptopsy. i've never been depressed before. maybe there's something wrong with me. . .
