"Bringing out the Dead" - The best black humour I´ve seen in a while.
And "Cube 2" was very good also. I didn´t expect it to be any good since it is the part 2. This one succeeded.

Haha, how funny, I'm about to put on the Bringing Out the Dead DVD. Either that or read more Naked Lunch right before sleep so I can have some more nightmares.

Get a grip man, the cinema tickets at my end of the world, unless you go on student nights, are £10 ($18)

I thought Cube 2 was pretty good as well. I liked how, at the end, they kind of explained why they were in the cube.

Tickets out here are $7.50 after 6PM, at least they were last time I went to the movies. But I still have my student I.D., so I buy my tickets for $5 a pop. I refuse to pay $7.50 to watch a movie. And if I'm gonna pay $3.50 for a Coke, then all the more reason.

Cinema tickets cost here 9euros in those hours a normal human being has a chance to go and see a film, so.. about 11-12$ I quess.
Too fucking expensive. So I´m lucky to have a boyfriend who is addicted to DVD´s

I didn't care much for Cube 2; it just seemed like the first one with new characters and a small twist. I kind of liked the fact that the first one didn't bother to explain the purpose of the cube. I heard they're supposed to make a 3rd one which will explain even more, but who knows.

just watched hellboy.
pretty much a spiderman/daredevil moive with some nazi occultism. ron perlman is really good as hellboy but the ending was really weak. the monsters (and effects) where really cool though and felt pretty "lovecraftian" to me

That's a shame because I would have expected MUCH more from Guillerme del Toro who has yet to do anything really 'weak'. Still, since it's got his name on it, I'll have to see this for myself.

I don't know man, that's the first less than stellar review I've heard about Hellboy. And it's coming from the same person who said Kill 'Em All is meh. So...

If he screwed up Hellboy then it's one heck of a slip up.

By the way, is anyone going to see the new Punisher? From the trailer, it looks pretty bland. Not dark and violent enough like the comic. If it's shit, that means both Punisher attempts were failures. I mean, who remembers the one with Dolph Lundgren and Lou Gosset Jnr? Fucking hell, that was shite.

Punisher looks awful. It definitely needed the "dark and violent" treatment and someone like Frank Miller to co-write the script or something.

The worst part about it is that the studio that's releasing it is yellow-lighting 3 more Marvel properties until it sees how the Punisher does at the box office. I predict a 3-day-and-out showing.

You will LOVE Kill Bill, I guarantee. Just poetry in motion.

Devil's Backbone is a beautiful film to watch and to look at, if you know what I mean. The cinematography is some of the best I've EVER seen.

Yeah, I'm psyched to watch it. I also bought the final chapter of the Matrix, which I'm looking forward despite the lukewarm pt. 2.

I've heard Punisher was absolute crap! I can't buy Thomas Jane as Frank Castle. He's too pretty boy-ish, but I guess that's what the industry thinks audiences want to see. I actually liked the Dolph Lundgren version in a guilty pleasure kind of way. However, t really didn't have anything to do with The Punisher comic, except the name of the main character.

I still haven't seen either Kill Bill movie either. Kinda behind in my movie-going I guess.

Off the top of my head, I think William Berenger would make a good Punisher, though they'd have to find a way to bulk him up a bit. He's got that grizzled look, think of him in Platoon.
