Movies

i have that at home right now too, one of my favorite movies.

and i like the Ninth Gate! but nobody else does.

ninth gate was miserable. it came out when i was on my polanski kick and it just made it more obvious that he was done after chinatown.

yeh, otherwise she'd look like Jessica Rabbit

just saw an ad for some steve martin movie. i really cant understand how some people become successful. i mean this guy is the least fucking funny guy on the planet. he had ONE funny moment in "the jerk" and that was like 20 years ago. fuck steve martin.

word. i tried watching more roman polanski movies after i saw chinatown and THEY ALL SUCK. i mean really really really bad. (with the exception of rosemarys baby)

The Pianist and Frantic were pretty damn good ...

I saw Blair Witch Project a week or so ago and I thought it was pretty decent, and actually pretty scary at times. The first part of the movie where you get "to know" the stupid youngsters was pretty lame and poorly done; too laid back and too "young". I watched in a dark room in total silence and it managed to scare me real good a couple of times.

 Holy shit, bring H.G. Wells back to life and tell him it CAN happen.

hahaha, yeah, ill admit to being startled a couple times when i saw it. shortly after i was like, "uhhh...that sucked."
what i think man as fagbot is trying to say is that this movie came out in '99 or something and that youre probably the last person to see it. or something. kill him.

Steve Martin has his share of crap, but he's got some great movies, too. C'mon, you didn't like Bowfinger? Anyway, he seems to do better in his serious roles, like The Spanish Prisoner, or in darker comedies like Novocaine. His book "The Pleasure of My Company" is fantastic; much better than "Shopgirl", which I think is a tad overrated but still decent.

Garden State ruled. 4 days to fall in love? I fell in love with Natalie Portman in the first 30 minutes :)

Ninth Gate is one of the worst movies I've ever seen; just crap from start to finish. I like how they throw in a random sex scene at the end as a kind of 'thanks for sitting through the last 2 hours of boring crap, here's a present'.

the sex scene at the end is one of the most random moments ever put on celluloid. or dvd. or whatever.
