Movies

For me, it's been Tattoo, a decent German thriller, Sky High (meh), Flightplan (on an aeroplane on the way to NY, the same model as in the film  ), NoTLD remake, which was cool, and Memoirs Of A Geisha, which was a steaming pile of.. well, you get the idea. Now I've finally got some spare time I have a huuuge pile of DVDs to work my way through

just watched:

whilst drinking many cocktails! ive also decided that this year, every single oscar goes to Kurt Russel in tribute to his fully fucking righteous career, and then they disband the academy and never give another oscar again! he is THE greatest actor of the 20th century! agree or DIE!!@#$

Wedding Crashers

Pretty funny. Vince Vaughn's character totally shares my outlook on dating + I WANT A CRAZY REDHEAD LIKE THAT BINT. Oh fuck, she's insane! And hot! And CHRIST!

Nah I'm sober tonight. I just got a phone call to go to some crazy party but I'm probably gonna crash. Have to get drunk all day tomorrow at a soccer game. :dopey:

just watched "The Call of Cthulhu"

amazing, really. Brand new movie, but done completely in the style of a silent film. The stark minimalism of everything about it adds up incredibly well for the Lovecraftian atmosphere.

Whoa. Need to see that. Is the word "eldritch" used anywhere therein?

I just saw "Corpse Bride". Good flick, though I probably wouldn't want my kids to see it.

I vant to see.

CHINATOWN ... have not seen this movie in at least 15 years, back then it completely went over my head.

But now it all made sense, and the beauty of the DVD picture made 30's LA someplace I wish i had lived.

Awesome flick ... Nicholson's obvious tour de force!

Dude that part when Jon Voight bites Kramer is like, the pinnacle of that entire show. Fucking amazing.

I saw Munich two days ago. It's good .I didn't understand many things at the end though :hypno:

saw REPULSION tonight ... been on a Polanski kick ... even saw OLIVER TWIST some weeks ago from him.

REPULSION was like a film school movie ... one of those begging for dissection.

I pretty much saw all Polanski movies by now and CHINATOWN as well as THE PIANIST are his best ...

one of the most inconsistent directors out there ... very strange too, as he almost does not have his own style ... you can never say, yeah, that's a Polanski movie.

Old School

hahahaha oh man that sucked. Great fun.

"you forgot your birthday..."
"DAMMIT!"

Best part right there, I couldn't stop laughing at how visibly upset he was by that. Either that "turn around, I see that fuckin' look in yer eye..." hahaha
