gahhhhhhhh what the HELL is wrong with Hollywood, shit...

The Wicker Man (2006) starring NICOLAS CAGE, LEELEE SOBIESKI

seriously now, come onnnnnnnn stop with the remakes already
Ugh.

Watched Little Nicky the other night for the first time in years because I scored the DVD for $9 while purchasing vodka. BEST. SANDLERMOVIE. EVAR.

Ringers, a documentary on Lord of the Rings fans. Pretty lame really, I left it running while doing other shit for the most part. Viggo had some EXCELLENT commentary on the current state of world affairs though, just one more reason why I wish to dryhump his leg.

Yeah, I've read somewhere that they have already changed the ending to make it something "more unexpected". :zombie:

Killer Bees

although that seems HIGHLY predictable.. Sergeant Howie-neuvo is allegedly allergic to bees....... maybe the twist ending is putting him in a GIANT BEEHIVE? that's somewhat of a twist, catches the viewer off guard that's suspecting a tiny beehive hahahah

Or... HERPES!!!

What with his entire "the lord Jebus Christ" thing the entire way through, who'd expect him to infect willow with AIDS of the eyeball, and then die of herpes prior to being sacrificed?

Five Easy Pieces

OH MAN was that my last major relationship in a nutshell. Well, in a lot of ways anyhow. Some women need to grow a pair.

"LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN"

For starters, pretentious. The pedantic postmodern banter that flowed through the first portion of the film surmounted to nothing. Luckily, this didn't keep up the entire film, and when the film finally got over itself, it was pretty damn good. I ended up loving it, it's the kind of film that's worth sticking with throughout.

"In the Mouth of Madness"

What I've always loved about this film is how it's just sooooo damn cheesy,
and yet manages to creep me the hell out, man.

Superb Lovecraftian atmosphere. Truly a horror classic.

*bumps to top of queuesueu*

Crash

I was emotionally touched by one scene in particular, and walked away really liking it, but now I'm starting to think it was a bit over the top. 4 stars moves down to 3. :goggly:

I agree it served no purpose, but I actually kind of liked it.. Gave everything a kind of playful feeling :)

We saw Ice Age 2 yesterday, there were way too many kids in the cinema, but it was entertaining, and Secret Window  If I'd seen it when it was released and that ending hadn't been done to death since it would have struck me as more original, but still cool and nicely done.

I did come to appreciate that after the end of the movie, once everything fell into place, looking back it all contributed greatly to the feel. A sort of overarching "kansas city shuffle" by keeping me focused on the dialogue while other points go unnoticed.

I just saw a screening of Beowulf & Grendel last night. You could tell that it was a lower budget film, but once you get used to that fact (it's only really apparent in the opening credits, and wherever they have to put text on screen for "Prologue", "Part I: [insert title here]" etc.) it's a pretty cool movie, although they do take some liberties with the plot in order to make the short content of approximately 1800-2000 or so lines of the first part of the poem work as a movie.

It's pretty good if you're a fan of the poem or of Germanic antiquities, although it's not entirely true to the original. I'm tempted to write a full review of it, but I probably won't because I'm lazy.

Cool, there are heaps of pirated DVDs for sale here so I think I'll pick it up. Too bad most of the movies for sale are your average action/comedy/love tripe signed Hollywood, else I'd be bringing loads home :/

Watched Crash : very good, nothing spectacular though

The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada: Unbelievable, amazing, absolute masterpiece

Harry Potter notices the existance of girls: By far the best of the H.P. series.

WOLF CREEK ... pretty good old school style horror flick ... nothing you have not seen before, just liked the style and the cinematography.

Ebert gave it ZERO stars :kickass: ... never seen him do that before.
