Big Fish

Not as visually extravagant as I was expecting from Burton, but still a very good story and great characters. Plus whatever Pearl Jam song is on the ending credits is great, I guess they still have a few decent songs left in them
IMO the best Tim Burton film .

Burton kicks so much ass. Except that stupid Planet of the Apes remake, what a pile.

Harry Potter - Prisoner of Azhakdshfaban (third one)
Pretty decent, but I think I liked the second one better. Jury is still out though, since this was the first movie in the series I saw after reading the book. That Hermione will be a sexy bitch when she grows up OHHHHHHHH YEAH!!!!!11 :Smokedev:

It is my opinion that Planet of the Apes did the job that Burton intended, it raked in millions so he could fund his other projects, and should be ignored when discussions about him occur! In my eyes he is perfection,

I also believe films like Big Fish create just as much visual impact as his earlier ones (i am thinking of the scene where Edward Bloom is looking at Spectre - that village with the shoes) it does look very similar to Burtons vision of suburbia in Edward Scissorhands, and although his recurring themes he places in many of his films are somewhat lacking in big fish, his main theme of acceptance and family, although not my favourite Burton film it does rock!

I am really looking forward to his adaptation of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory though, I don't think I can wait until summer 2005

 Alright I'll go with that. Good for him!

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory without Gene Wilder will be weird. Okay nevermind, just saw that Johnny Depp is playing Wonka, I think that's about the only fitting replacement. This shall kick ass, oh yes, kick ass it shall.

Mmm.... Johnny Depp, :D the most beautiful man in the world, judging by the way he played Jack Sparrow (which was genius) - I think that he will pick up on the darker points of Willy Wonka and bring them out.

Am i the only person who thinks that Willy Wonka is sadistic?

Well, there's something definitely wrong with Willy Wonka. He's got all that candy, and yet he's not fat. What's he doing? He makes the Umpa Lumpas do all the work.

Yeah, something ain't right in Wonka land. The Umpa Lumpas should form a union.

Oompa Loopa dupity health plan...

Yeah Wonka's a bit off, that boat scene is still extremely creepy all these years later. It also rules.

It's a creepy concept in general,

A man who's only friends are Umpa Lumpas Lures children into his gigantic sweet factory, the whole concept just seems really Pervy,

Finally watcheed Kill Bill patrt. 1 o h my goat it KIKCKWEAD ASSS... loved it. Wnat part 2. Want Lucy Lui REALLY FUCKIKN BAD like more so than normal. SO HOT.

EDIT: I think what I meant was that Kill Bill vol. 1 was leaps and bounds above what I expected, and I am looking forward, quite frantically even, to volume 2. Also, while I've always found Lucy Liu hot, her appearance in this movie was even more extraordinary.

Bubba Ho-Tep - my roommate rented this and we watched it last night. This movie is hilarious. If you like Bruce Campbell in the slightest, watch this now. I'd call it a horror comedy, but that would make you think of Army of Darkness, which this movie is NOT like. This is like a who-dunnit / suspense / comedy. Something like that. Great flick, anyway.

Yeah some chick bought that over to my pad a week or two ago, but we watched Mad TV instead for whatever reason. Maybe next time.

One of my friends bought "Bubba-Ho-Tep". Funny as hell. I loved the black JFK. "Ask not what your rest-home can do for you, but what you can do for your rest home!" Bruce Campbell... written/directed by Don Coscarelli... Rule-age!

"The Nightmare Before Christmas" - my favorite Tim Burton. I used to wish I lived in that Halloween land.

I've seen an older Zatoichi movie, there are like 20 or more in the series. He's kind of like James Bond; all the movies are basically the same and for some reason they're terribly popular. I don't get it.

26 to be exact :) The Takeshi Kitano one is pretty different from the more traditional ones, from what I've seen of them.
