Movies

Didn't Gary Oldman play Beethoven at some point? I've yet to see that movie. I thought his best were The Professional aka Leon and of course, The Contender. How he never won an oscar for that performance is just criminal.

Ooooo he was such a fucking BASTARD in The Professional. You know an actor does his job well when you grow to truly hate him. He played Beethoven in Immortal Beloved (I had to look it up :loco: ), don't think I ever saw that one.

Huh, he was in Basquiat too, I don't even remember him in that and I loved that movie.

saw TAKING LIVES last night. big surprise this one. was expecting some cheesefest, but it was a solid thriller. mix of Seven, Silence of the Lambs and Fatal Atraction.

+ seeing Angelina Jolie getting pounded with her titties all over a place is always a treat ... mama mia

Sold!

I really want to see that new movie Hero, even though I fucking hate Jet Li. I'm sure it will be cheesy, but the special effects look pretty kickass. It'll probably be like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon with a crappy story.

Bruce Lee > the world

Cool, I'll probably go see Hero right when it comes out, otherwise I'll never get around to it.

Kill Bill Volume II

Pretty good. Volume 1 was better. The Pai Wei scene was way cool, as was the fight with Elle. The fight with Bill was just a little too short, by about 15 minutes (what the fuck was that?). Still, it was pretty cool movie.

I just saw Tarkovsky's "Stalker". Definetally the most beautiful (if not the best in all aspects) film i have ever seen
I'll have to look into this one. I feel the same way about his Solaris, one of the most well paced and moving movies I have seen. Some may deem it dull and slow, but it is just amazing.

If Stalker is anything like it ... it's a winner.

OK .. will try to hunt it down. Fucking Netflix does not have it, and Amazon is asking $45 for the DVD ?!!?@!?

I am pretty sure my local rental place does not have this ... will have to look somewhere else
