Movies

you fucking kidding me?! :zombie:

That movie was so fucking HORRIBLE. It was the only movie I ever wanted to get up and leave in the middle of. I would have if I drove there with my car.

I do not understand how you thought it THAT BAD.

It really REALLY REAAALLLLY was.

I was dragged there the opening night so the cinema was almost sold out and I had this goofy fagfuck come sit right fucking next to me during the previews, but that is besides the point...me being sandwiched by some goofy fag and my friend. Anyways, as the crowd was leaving all I heard from everyone was how horrible it was. People everywhere saying it SUCKED donkey balls and whatnot. The 4 other people I was with all agreed it was a putrid pile of shit as well. We collectively agreed that the chick responsible for picking out the movie would never have the opportunity again.

Well I guess I'm really in the minority.

Watched Hot Fuzz on Saturday - holy balls, that film rules. Imagine a cross between an Agatha Christie-style convoluted murder mystery, a Michael Bay-esque explode-em-up blockbuster, and film-reference-laden comedy, and you're getting close.

"Is it true that there is a spot in a man's head where, if you shoot it, it'll blow up?"

I didn't enjoy Pan's Labyrinth all that much. Maybe it was a case of heightened expectations, but the main plot was the subplot and vice-versa (based on what I expected). Didn't really appreciate the level of brutality, either. We get it, the guy's a sick puppy, quit bashing our heads in with it. The fantasy parts were pretty cool, though.

At the beginning I was thinking that the whole story seemed so contrived and pointless. I'm still not entirely sure that the matter of WHAT exactly was going on between the rebels and the government came up to any extent worth mentioning?? Did I miss something?

I'd say it was a very solid film, but movie of the year? I sure as hell hope not!

I just finished watching Idi I Smotri (Come and See), and my mind is fucking blown at how amazing it was. I'm willing to say it was the best movie I have ever seen. The movie was extremely intense from the start, and just kept building up, and the ending hit a level of intensity I had never experienced with a film before.

So fucking amazing.
