has anybody seen jesus camp? man that shit makes me so afraid

www.jesuscampthemovie.com

check out the samples, especially the part where the dude's like "who wants to give up their life for jesus?" and all the kids enthusiastically reply in the affirmative wtf these kids are so literally brainwashed

:Puke:

Nevertheless, I'm much more afraid of the future in the hands of the sandniggers taking over Europe than I am of brainwashed kids from suburbia.

That was some frightening shit. Wow.

It is ridiculous when one of the boys says that he was saved by Jesus at 5 years old because at that point he really wanted more out of life. That is brainwashing. At 5, kids don't think like that. They want to play, eat and shit, not be saved. The woman saying she wants the children to be as radical as the children in the middle east was equally as fucked up.:erk:

Reno 911 is very meh. You're better off renting the series on DVD. The best part of the movie is Terry who I think may be in the series, although I've never seen him.

I was a big fan of the series and I thought the movie was great. Few of the gags didn't work well but overall I enjoyed it.

Plus they showed the Simpsons movie trailer which I have no interest in seeing since the Simpsons have completely sucked the big one since 2000

The film is really not as violent/brutal as most people say it is, it is just that the violent scenes make a huge contrast with the fairytale side of the film.

The only other movie with the same level of brutality I've seen was Sin City, and the cartoonishness of that one made it more tolerable. The part where he bashes the guy's nose into his head is extremely graphic, as is the part where he gets his mouth cut open. You're just a sick puppy, I guess, that you didn't notice how brutal it was.

Or there are zillion other things to notice in the movie, except how brutal it might be. The brutality you are talking about lasts for nanoseconds. That movie affects me on another level so the brutality/violence seemed like nothing (at least to me). I insist that it's all about the contrast, and i think that was Del Toro's intention too, to use this level of violence to deepen in the duality of the story, to show both sides, the beauty of fantasy and the ugliness of reality. And in the end of the film..wow...they both co-exist..don't they..

watched "Music Is The Weapon", a documentary about fela kuti, for the second time the other night. this film is fucking amazing. holy fuck, wow. fela kuti was a fucking incredible character...he was a nigerian musician and political activist, and was in a constant battle with the gov't, talking about how fucked up the situation was in nigeria. he was hugely popular and famous, the government totally feared the power his personality had, they raided his house and killed his mom and beat up his wives and shit...he married his 27 singers and backup dancers in one ceremony haha. he could really play too, he was a bandleader/singer and saxophonist and played other instruments as well, a real fuckin musician...anyone whose musical tastes reach further than metal, i give this my utmost recommendation, and even if you aren't interested in afrobeat/jazz/west african rock fusion i still recommend it just to get a look at the guy's life and the insanity that was early-80s nigeria

:kickass:

Fuck .... Demilich you are so lucky, can't wait for the freaking thing to be released. Loved the trailer, even though the persians looked like orcs, the elephants were a bit out of place..and the dress code for ancient spartan women looked like it came from a gucci collection.
