I had never heard that...though I did think it possible that WINTER'S BONE was a flick about a jilted gay lover.

started watching FASTER ... holy shit this is awesome so far. yes a movie with "The Rock"

not a typical action flick.

kind of modern noir. Tarantino meets John Dahl ... great soundtrack as well.

Faster struck me as kind of 70s ultra-violence throwback, only modernized. It worked well, in my opinion.

STALKER ... what can I say? It's Tarkovsky, hence mystical.
A lot easier to follow and "comprehend" than SOLARIS but that's not really the point anyway.

Watched Conviction the other night. It was alright. The reason why we watched it is because my wife works with the sister of the brother/sister that the movie is actually about.

you shouldn't get all PUMPED UP for it because it is kind of a disappointing mess, especially if you're going in thinking your intellect is going to be challenged

A group of my friends went to see that a while back. Funny, as the week heading up to that night I had spent with said friends in a house in Lakes Entrance, and every time an ad for that film was on TV everyone commented on how lame it looked. Turns out I was the only one to stand by that statement. Apparently, I was right in doing so.

True story.
