Saw

Wow, what a great movie. Kind of in the same realm as Se7en, only 156165484879 times better than that overrated crapfest. Everyone should watch Saw. All I gotta say is, I didn't see that one coming.

Saw was awesome.

I just saw Irreversible, and I am kind of distrubed now. That scene where the guy smashes Tenia's face in is pretty raw, but the rape scene just HURTS . . . in a sad I-hate-humanity type of way.

Irreversible is definitely a fucked up movie, but reality is fucked up.

Saw and Man of Fire were both solid flicks.

i need to check out CUBE ... anyone see this? or the sequel, prequel?

Oh man, some of the lines in man on fire were just hilarious....

Anywho, both Cube and Cube 2 aren't great movies IMO, but both are carried by the absolutely great concept. Both have bad dialogue, wooden, unrealistic acting, and can be really annoying at times, which is a shame, because if done well the films could be absolutely amazing. Both low budget tho, so I can hardly fault them for it, still well worth seeing. The prequel isn't out here yet, I don't think :(

IRREVERSIBLE is great. Need to revisit that one.

I see the movies are pouring in from Netflix, Nate! :D

Yep . . . Netflix is awesome. I have only seen Donnie Darko (Director's Cut) and Irreversible so far (I'll be seeing Happiness today), but I have an awesome que built up.

I don't think I could watch Irreversible again for a while. However, it is easily one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. Aside from the ultra-realism of the whole thing, the way the movie was shot is SO amazing. NOTHING about that movie is happy. You don't even get the pleasure of seeing the revenge take place in the proper order of the day's events. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

something I found on Google ... was a Voivod Sculpture ... nothing special ... just been feeling Voivodian lately

I have only seen Donnie Darko (Director's Cut)

Yeah, Donnie Darko is another one I did not see but always hear good things about it.
Have it in my quoue now ...

YEah I've always wanted to see Donnie Darko, still haven't. I read a thingy on that Irreversible movie, sounds good in a Vulgar kind of way. Plus Monica Bellucci gives me a massive woody.

Garden State

Really good. Man if I could find a chick like that that would fucking rule.

Well, DOnnie Darko is a cool movie, but of course, people have started bashing it since it now has dorkie fan clubs full of pseudo-intellectuals that think the movie is the answer for our salvation and shit.

I watched 50 First Dates. Eh, it was OK. Typical Adam Sandler, I guess. Rob Scheider made the movie, though.

I didn't like Donnie Darko at all. My friends are obsessed with it but I found it to be quite pretentious.

I think Ben Stiller needs to find some better roles. He's a brilliant comedian but Adam-Sandler-esque movies like "Zoolander" and "Dodgeball" don't showcase his abilities. He's better in a more intelligent comedy like "Meet the Parents" (havent seen the sequel yet). He's a good "everyman" who can exploit the hilarity of common experiences that we can all relate to.

Great movies I've seen recently include "Sideways" and "I Love Huckabees".

I want to see Sideways. As for your Ben Stiller comments, those are the movies I enjoy him in. Meet the Parents was pretty lame, IMO. If you're gonna make a comedy, go all the way with it, like Dodgeball or Zoolander. None of this turning into a drama for the last 30 minutes crap.

I finally saw Donnie Darko (regular cut). It was interesting, but I think I need to see it again to really get it. Is the director's cut better?

I really need to see that. I didn't realize that dude is the dude from Wings, the janitor, until I watched the Grammies.... uhhh, Oscars, and recognized him.

Why do I remember Wings? Oh yeah, because it ROCKED. [/gay]

Wings was a fantastic sitcom. The dude from Monk, the fat guy with the mustache, the dude from Sideways, the sassy old lady... [/flamboyant homoeroticism]
