I watched Episode II tonight as well. I wasn't very impressed, but I didn't think it was as crappy as many people makes it out to be. Unless you compare it to the originals, which is mandatory, I suppose.

The movies aren't spectacular, but they are DEFINITELY not as bad as people make them out to be. You suppose correctly, sir- people are comparing these new films to the original episodes and that is never a good thing to do...

Nah, if no other SW episode existed, The Phantom Menace would still be a complete turd.

actually just watched The Phantom Menace again tonight and it was not "that" bad ... maybe I am little more forgiveing.

Young Anakin still sucks bad ... but the rest fo the cast was fine.

Sorta watching part II right now, it's perfectly okay. I wish the characters had a little more personality though, all the CGI dudes like Viceroy come off stiff where they could've had some real life. Were they muppets.

the main character Ivan totally looks like an older Haley Joel Osment from the Sixth Sense.

I saw "Kingdom of Heaven" last night. It didn't give the chills like epic war movies should, and rather plain and dull. What surprised me was little Bloom annoyed me. Definately his best performance to date.

If you liked it it's worth checking out park chan wook's other movies, especially Sympathy For Mr Vengance. Not quite in the same league, but well worth seeing nevertheless

I just saw Nói Albínói. It's an interesting little Icelandic film. I enjoyed it a surprising amount. I suggest it for fans of The Station Agent or maybe About Schmidt.

Anyone else seen this?
