I really want to see Howl's Moving Castle, since I really enjoy Mononoke and Spirited Away.. been thinking about watching castle in the sky..

but alas for Howl's Moving Castle I have no idea when its gonna be out on DVD here, and the limited screening wasn't showing anywhere nearby when it was in theaters

those are the 4 Miyazaki movies I've seen (aside from trying to watch Kiki's Delivery Service 3 times while stoned and getting bored each time)

I rented Castle in the Sky and watched it like 3 times in 2 days, fucking amazing and epic. Actually i have it from the library and might watch it tonight once i get me some weed. Miyazaki = unbelievable :kickass:

oh hm, the previews for Castle in the Sky seem to make it look a bit childish, a la Kiki's Delivery Service (not that I've seen that either, just an assumption)

so that's what has caused me to have reservations about seeing it

holy shit this thread is back to 5-stars again.

i still wonder who the fuck voted this 1-star?!!? "fuck these dicks, i HATE movies!"

Just do it, man! Epic, epic, epic! Great story, maybe a little childish in ways, but is not Spirited Away childish in ways as well?

ok, my sister netflixed the dvd, and I made a copy a few days ago, and then she borrowed my copy last night to watch it.. so I'll check it out in the near future

I keep trying to vote the thread 5 stars again, but every single time it remembers I have already.... I'll catch it off guard one of these days!

HIDE AND SEEK ... not as bad as people made it out to be.
that Dakota Fanning chickie is really creepy

dakota fanning is the DEVIL!!! seriously, that little girl is evil. ugh.

the exorcist

dakota fanning could be in a remake of this, and it might be creepier. either way, 30 years and 30,000 parodies later, this movie RULES.

oh yeah, that eyeball at the beginning made me go "AHH!" even though i knew it was coming.

god damn 76 years old!

edit: back to 4 stars wtf! whoever hates movies clearly HATES AMERICA.
