musical horizon's broadening

I don't terribly like Blackwater so much, it hasn't grown on me.

...But Still life is the most awesome cd in my collection... Morningrise is damn good too.

If you want to broaden you're musical horizons, go and buy "Death - The sound of perseverance", or "Death - Individual thought patterns"

Individual Thought Patterns owns. Human and Symbolic follow close behind. I just picked up the new Live album, Live in L.A. (Death and Raw) and the set list rules:

The Philosopher
Spirit Crusher
Trapped in a Corner
Scavenger of Human Sorrow
Crystal Mountain
Flesh and the Power it Holds
Zero Tolerance (YES!)
Zombie Ritual
Suicide Machine
Together as One
Empty Words
Symbolic
Pull the Plug

Some say the production is of a low grade, but I just don't see it myself. I recommend that hardcore fans of Death pick this up as it is a must have for your collection.

As for Opeth, Still Life is their best album imo...but to be brutally honest, I just can't get into this band. I find myself falling asleep 2 songs into their records. The songs just don't go anywhere for me. There is no disputing their abilities and talent, but imo, the music is just bland and mundane. I'd rather pop in Death, Nevermore, or Bruce Dickinson into my cd player anyday.

Damn good song (my namesake...!)

-on another note...

I've been spinning "...And justice for all" relentlessly the past few days, and i hate to say it, but it is awesome, one of the best albums ever written. I guess i stopped listening to old metallica because they sold out and made shit music, but what the hell does it matter?? They still made some awesome albums.

long live ..and justice...!

"...and justice" is good (damn good) but metallica overall are overestimated. they aren't even close to the masterpieces metal church released...
